Best Priced Hard Drive for Video Editing in 2026

As you may have encountered, hard drive prices have gone through the roof, and as a content creator that requires a significant amount of hard drive storage, this presents a problem.

Prices over the past 1-2 years have in some cases quadrupled, but doubled is enough to sound the alarm.

Over the past several months the best priced hard drive I can find is the Lexar ES3 1TB or 2TB Portable SSD. Everything else is significantly more expensive. While it’s not the fastest drive available, it is more than adequate and a decent price despite the current climate.
